SINOPSIS

Cyrus, the leader of the most powerful gang in New York City, the Gramercy Riffs, calls a midnight summit for all the area gangs, with all asked to send nine unarmed representatives for the conclave. A gang called The Warriors are blamed for causing gang violence at theaters, but now it looks as highly stylized and pulpy as Hill intended. SINOPSIS

In London, the Russian pregnant teenager Tatiana arrives bleeding in a hospital, and the doctors save her baby only. The Russian descendant midwife Anna Khitrova finds Tatiana's diary written in Russian language in her belongings and decided to find her family to deliver the baby, she brings the diary home and ask her uncle Stepan to translate the document. Stepan refuses, but Anna finds a card of a restaurant owned by the Russian Semyon inside the diary and she visits the old man trying to find a lead to contact Tatiana's family. When she mentions the existence of the diary, Semyon immediately offers to translate the document. However, Stepan translates part of the diary and Anna discovers that Semyon and his sick son Kirill had raped Tatiana when she was fourteen years old and forced her to work as prostitute in a brothel of their own. Further, Semyon is the dangerous boss of the Russian mafia "Vory v Zakone", jeopardizing the safety of Anna and her family. Meanwhile, Semyon's driver Nikolai Luzhin gets close to Kirill and Semyon, climbing positions in the criminal organization, but he helps Anna, her family and the baby.

Ada kalanya rasa ingin tahu harus ditekan sebisa mungkin karena nafsu yang satu ini terkadang malah membawa kita pada masalah yang lebih rumit dari yang kita kira. Anna Khitrova (Naomi Watts), misalnya, rasa ingin tahunya malah membawa wanita ini berkenalan dengan dunia kejahatan Rusia, sesuatu yang tak pernah ia pikirkan sebelumnya.

Awalnya, Anna yang memang memiliki darah Rusia menemukan sebuah buku harian pada seorang gadis berusia 14 tahun yang meninggal saat melahirkan. Karena tak paham bahasa Rusia, Anna kemudian meminta bantuan pamannya, Stepan (Jerzy Skolimowski). Saat membaca buku harian ini Stepan melarang Anna untuk mengikuti rasa ingin tahunya karena ia tahu bahwa buku harian itu menyangkut soal keluarga mafia Rusia.

Namun karena tak puas, Anna pun kemudian menelusuri salah satu jejak yang ada pada buku harian itu. Sebuah kartu nama kemudian membawa Anna pada Semyon (Armin Mueller-Stahl), seorang pemilik restoran yang sebenarnya juga pemimpin mafia Rusia yang bernama vory v zakone. Dari sini, Anna kemudian bertemu Nikolai Luzhin (Viggo Mortensen), salah seorang anggota mafia yang ternyata adalah agen KGB sekaligus informan untuk pemerintah Inggris.

SINOPSIS

A priest, a woodcutter and another man are taking refuge from a rainstorm in the shell of a former gatehouse called Rashômon. The priest and the woodcutter are recounting the story of a murdered samurai whose body the woodcutter discovered three days earlier in a forest grove. Both were summoned to testify at the murder trial, the priest who ran into the samurai and his wife traveling through the forest just before the murder occurred. Three other people who testified at the trial are supposedly the only direct witnesses: a notorious bandit named Tajômaru, who allegedly murdered the samurai and raped his wife; the white veil cloaked wife of the samurai; and the samurai himself who testifies through the use of a medium. The three tell a similarly structured story - that Tajômaru kidnapped and bound the samurai so that he could rape the wife - but which ultimately contradict each other, the motivations and the actual killing being what differ. The woodcutter reveals at Rashômon that he knows more than he let on at the trial, thus bringing into question his own actions. But another discovery at Rashômon and the resulting actions from the discovery bring back into focus the woodcutter's own humanity or lack thereof.

SINOPSIS

Awalnya Eric O'Neill (Ryan Phillippe) hanya tahu kalau ia ditugaskan untuk menjadi asisten dari Robert Hanssen (Chris Cooper, seorang agen FBI yang mendekati masa pensiun. Belakangan barulah Eric tahu kalau misi yang dibebankan padanya jauh lebih berat dari sekedar tugas harian seorang asisten.

A young man just out of the shower answers the door to a neighbor woman and explains that he's visiting, has had a bad week, including being mugged, and doesn't know where his pal, who lives there, is. The neighbor is chatty; she's a coroner. Two thugs arrive and, believing the visitor to be the guy who lives there, take him to see the boss with the dead son, who tells him to kill the son of his Mob rival. Mistaken identity? What connects the threads? Cops are watching.

SINOPSIS

Sometime in the 1970's, police officers from New York wanted a safe haven to live, away from the dangers of the streets of New York, this is when they established a "Cop Land" in the small New Jersey town of Garrison. Freddy Heflin who was always admired by the New York cops wanted to become one, but because he was deaf in one ear this prevents him from achieving his goal, but has become sheriff of Garrison. Recently there have been a dark omen surrounding the New York cops, and Freddy is now investigating on this case, then Internal Affairs officer Mo Tilden is also on the case and asks Freddy for help, but Freddy could not. Now Freddy suspects that a New York cop named Ray Donlan might be one of the many cops who is corrupted by the mob and other criminals. Now, Freddy must find a cop who is nicknamed "Superboy" who can testify against Donlan and protect him, before Donlan finds super boy and kills him.

SINOPSIS

In 1848, a New York bank wants to put a railroad across Mexico, so it buys up small banks around Santa Rita, Durango, and evicts farmers on the proposed rail line who owe money.
